Rosemary is guided by her own experience. Her own family is the most important part of her life. With this in mind, she works to help all families. She wants her children and grandchildren to have the opportunity to succeed. She has dedicated herself to working for better schools and communities.

Over her distinguished career Rosemary has received many honors such as:

  • 2006 Association of Washington School Principals President's Award
  • Washington State PTA’s 2006 Friend of Children Award
  • Washington Association for Career and Technical Education 2005 Legislator of the Year
  • Washington Low Income Housing Alliance Housing Hero 2005
  • Washington Low Income Housing Alliance "Housing Hero" award, 2005
  • YMCAs of Washington Strong Kids, Families and Communities Award, 2005

About Rosemary

​​She served on the Northshore School Board of Directors from 1977 to 1991.  She then moved on to become a Washington State Senator, serving from 1993 to 2016. For over 40 years she has been an advocate for our community.  
 

Together with her husband James she lives in Bothell, Washington. She has six children and fifteen grandchildren. Both Rosemary and James are small business owners. Rosemary is proud of her small business the Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville. Rosemary is also a founding member of the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce.

Fun Facts...

Rosemary loves art. Four times a year she hosts, “Women, Wine, and Business.” Rosemary founded this nonprofit fundraiser to stimulate business for our local women and to enhance our community. Each event raises money for a different non-profit in the local community. 
She is also very much into fashion, loves Neil Diamond music and especially loves her puppy “Habby”.
